Studio time and a goodbye to a special lady

I dropped Michael at work at 6:30 and headed for the studio.I was able to make 16 aspen leaves and then I headed home to change for Betsy's memorial. This was at her church off Montview and attended by her former students that she coached and taught, her colleagues from DPS and Gateway and many other friends and family. While saddened by her death, I can rejoice in her faith and picture her in the arms of the Lord coaching the angels to play basketball. The service was a beautiful testimony of her life and those whose lives she touched.

Afterwards I was able to get back to the studio and begin working on the prototypes for the new communion plates. I have four made so far and I think they will give the new pastor an idea of what is possible.
So, tomorrow I will get back in after taking M to work and trim, vein and stem the aspen leaves. And trim the plates and stamp the plates with scripture verses that relate to communion. Then I will need to work on the prototypes for the communion cups. I tell you Christmas break is just too short to get everything I need to get accomplished done.

On other fronts, Gareth has been offered a temp job helping the neighbor snowplow - we are supposed to get snow finally tomorrow afternoon through Friday morning! Colin has set his appointment for his driver's test but not sure how the logistics will all work out.

Looking forward to New Year's eve with friends and family- Mexican feast(as well as us gringos can manage) and games!
